PFC Frederick S. Brawner

PFC Frederick S. Brawner was born in 1925 in Maryland.  He was drafted in July 1943 and was noted as working as a driver and having a grammar school education (through the 8th grade).  Assigned to L Company 116th Infantry as a rifleman, Frederick landed on D-Day with that unit and was promoted to PFC on 20 Jun 1944.  PFC Brawner was wounded on 12 Jul 1944 and evacuated to the hospital where he died of his wound(s). 

PFC Brawner rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery.
