PVT Jordan Rothwell Krummes

PVT Jordan Rothwell Krummes was born 28 Dec 1923 in Fresno, California to Niels Jacob and Lela Ilene (Mercer) Krummes.  His father was a native of Varde, Denmark. His father drove a truck.

Rothwell (which name was the one he used as a civilian) was drafted in February 1943.  After basic training, he was sent to England and assigned to A Company 116th Infantry.  He trained with the unit for the amphibious assault on "fortress Europe".  PVT Krummes was taking part in that attack when he was killed in action on 6 Jun 1944.

PVT Krummes is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
