PVT Frederick Ambrosino was born 9 Feb 1912 in Bloomfield, New Jersey. We know very little about his early life. However, he was working for the Hooton Chocolate Company in Bloomfield in 1940. He married Christina DiTrolio in 1942. He was a resident of Essex County, New Jersey when he was drafted in November 1942. After commpleting his five months of bsic military training he wassent to Englad were he was probably assigned to G Company 116th Infantry and was probably assigned to the unit when it came ashore on D-Day. On 17 Jul 1944, PVT Ambrosino was killed in action.
PVT Ambrosino is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
