PVT Harvey J. Morey

PVT Harvey J. Morey was born 21 Oct 1917 in Mitchell County, Georgia. He was the 3rd of 10 children born to Robert Hinson and Ruth Lee (Alligood). The family farmed near Raiford, Georgia.

Harvey was drafted in September 1942. After basic infantry training PVT Morey was sent to the European theater. On 15 Jul 1944 he was transferred from the replacement depot to L Company 116th Infantry. PVT Morey was killed in action on 18 Jul 1944.
