James V Chittick (b. 31 Jul 1914 - d. 8 Aug 1944) son of Victory Young
and Lorena Chittick of Michigantown, Indiana was a member of Company E,
116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

AFTER BEING AN INSTRUCTOR IN THE INFANTRY REPLACEMENT TRAINING CENTER
AT FORT HARRISON, INDIANA; CAMP ROBINSON, ARKANSAS; CAMP FANNIN, TEXAS;
THE INFANTRY COURSE AT FORT BENNING, GEORGIA AND A BRIEF STINT WITH THE
103RD DIVISION, LIEUTENANT CHITTICK WENT OVERSEAS IN JUNE 1944 AS AN
OFFICER REPLACEMENT AND WAS IN THE 29TH DIVISION WHEN KILLED ON AUGUST
8, 1944.
