PVT Perry Gene Dougan

PVT Perry Gene Dougan was born in 1925 to Carl and Ethel Dougan.

Perry was drafted in September 1943.  Perry was assigned to F Company 116th Infantry from the replacement depot on 23 Jul 1944.  The morning report shows PVT Dougan as killed in action on 1 Aug but later official documents give his date of death as 2 Aug 1944. There are often such "discrepancies" due to the confusion that exists in that combat environment. 

PVT Dougan is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
