Raymond Goldberg, b. 3 Jan 1918 - d. 16 Sep 1944. Son of Abraham
Michel and Sarah Rose (Trinsky) Goldberg. Abraham and Sarah were from
Kovno, Lithuania (in the Pale) and had moved to Hartford, Connecticut. Raymond
married Rose Ziff and they had a son. He was drafted in October 1943
and assigned first to I Company to which he was apparently assigned on D-Day. Then on 5 Sep 1944 he was reassigned to K Company, 116th Infantry. He
is buried in Zion Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut.
