PVT Angus Paul Floyd was born 20 Jan 1918 in Buffalo Gap, Texas to David Jackson and Lily Myrtle (Hodges) Floyd. His father was a barber and a railroad brakeman. In 1940 Angus was working as a pharmacist and his mother was working as a "saleslady". The family's reported income for 1939 was $665 for David, $720 for Lilly, and $690 for Angus and they lived in Pecos, Texas.
After entering the service he was sent overseas and on 3 Sep 1944 was transferred from the replacement depot to L Company 116th Infantry. PVT Floyd was killed in action on 5 Oct 1944.
PVT Floyd is buried in the
Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery.
