PVT Lucius Charles Hyche was born 23 Dec 1911 in Birmingham, Alabama to Lucius Erastus and Emma Hyche. His father was a merchant and meat cutter. On 29 Jun 1935 he married Madeline Williams. In 1938 they had a daughter. Lucius also worked as a meat cutter.
Lucius wasn't drafted until March 1944. After his basic training he was sent to Europe and transferred from the replacement depot to L Company 116th Infantry on 27 Oct 1944. PVT Hyche was killed in action on 20 Nov 1944.
PVT Hyche was repatriated in 1948 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
