PFC Charles Burnell Brooks

PFC Charles Burnell Brooks was born 18 Aug 1913 in Chicago, Illinois the only son of William Norris and Anna Louise (Bronn) Brooks.  Father, William, was a jeweler. On 29 Oct 1938 he married Marian Louise Treash. Charles was an English Teacher at Iowa State College in 1940. 

On 8 Sep 1944 PVT Brooks was assigned to K Company 116th Infantry.  He was promoted to PFC on 1 Nov 1944.  On 20 Nov 1944 he was killed in action.

PFC Brooks is buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery.
