PVT James A. Haynes was born 15 Nov 1898 in Hanover County, Virginia. He was a member of C Company 116th Infantry when the unit was training at Camp McClellan. PVT Haynes was killed in action on 24 Oct 1918. He is buried in
Woodland Cemetery in Ashland, Virginia.
