2LT David Randall Hall was born 20 Oct 1916 to George Lee and Lena Belle (Crisp) Hall.  This was probably in Tebbets, Missouri.  The family soon moved to Lawton, Oklahoma and then to Kaufman County, Texas.  George was a barber.

After entering the service and attending officer training Randall was sent to England and assigned to G Company 116th Infantry as a platoon leader.  He was on duty with the unit on 1 Jun 1944 and landed with the unit in the D-Day amphibious assault at Omaha Beach on 6 Jun 1944.  2LT Hall was killed in action on 13 Jul 1944.  It was for an action on that date that he was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star.

2LT Hall was repatriated in 1948 and is buried in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas.
