PVT James W. Lowe

PVT James W. Lowe was born 1 Oct 1907.  He married Anna about 1930 and they lived in Ashland, Kentucky where James worked as a clerk for the Railway Express Company.  He reported a 1939 income of $1440.

James was still working for Railway Express when he was drafted in September 1943.  After basic training he was sent to Europe and transferred from the replacement depot to K Company 116th Infantry on 19 Jun 1944.  He served as a rifleman in that unit until killed in action on 15 Jul 1944.

PVT Lowe was repatriated in 1949 and now rests forever in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, Kentucky. We think that Anna re-married sometime after 1950, the couple had no children.
