PFC Idral Monroe Fuqua

PFC Idral Monroe Fuqua was born 10 May 1913 in Hart County, Kentucky to Ossie and Mary E (Van Fleet) Fuqua.  The family farmed.

When drafted in January 1943, Idral was working as a farm hand, likely on the family farm.  Sent to Europe, Idral was moved from the replacement depot to C Company 116th Infantry on 6 Jul 1944.  He was killed in action that same day, 6 Jul 1944.

PFC Fuqua is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery. His brother Grant Edward Fuqua served from 1941 to 1945.
