PVT J. C. Bryant was born in 1923 in Marion County, Tennessee to Jesse Lawrence and Ethel (Nolan) Bryant. We can not find where J. C. was ever referred to by other than these initials. The family farmed.
After J. C. was enlisted and trained he was sent overseas and on 16 Jun 1944 he was transferred from the replacement depot to C Company 116th Infantry. He was with that unit when he was killed in action on 1 Jul 1944.
PVT Bryant is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
