PFC Frederick Lewis Bennett

PFC Frederick Lewis Bennett was born 9 Sep 1915 in Wilsons Mills, Maine to Frederick John and Sadie Johnson (Blakley) Bennett.  His father was a telephone lineman in 1930. 

After he entered the service in September 1941 Frederick married Ruth Hartlen on 22 Feb 1942. Then Frederick was sent overseas and assigned to H Company 116th Infantry.  He was with that unit on 6 Jun 1944, D-Day, when he was killed in action. 

PFC Bennett rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery. 

Frederick and Ruth had no children.
