PFC Glendon A Bibeau

PFC Glendon A Bibeau was born 4 Dec 1917 in Franklin, Massachusetts to Ralph Anderson and Inys F (Leach).  His parents were born in Vermont and his father worked as a carpenter in both construction and his own wood working shop.  They had 6 children. 

When Glendon was drafted in February 1942 he was working in shoe manufacturing.  He was sent overseas and assigned to G Company 116th Infantry before D-Day.  So far as is known he survived the landing without injury but was killed in action on 12 Jun 1944.

PFC Bibeau was returned to the United States and is buried with his parents in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes, Vermont.

3 of Glendon's brothers also served.  Oldest brother Henry Robert Bibeau was serving as a US Marine in 1940.  Youngest brother George David Bibeau served in the US Air Force in Korea. Brother Louis Edmund Bibeau served in the Army in both WWII and Korea.
