PFC Roger John Ellison

PFC Roger John Ellison was born 17 Feb 1919 in Nassau County, New York to George H. and Helen E. (Barber) Ellison. His father was a fireman on a railroad, likely the New York Central.

After Roger entered the service and completed training he was sent to A Company 116th Infantry and was with the unit at Omaha Beach on 6 Jun 1944 when he was killed in action.

PVT Ellison was returned in 1948 and he now rests in Long Island National Cemetery.
