PFC George William Keinz

PFC George William Keinz was born 24 Nov 1924 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota the youngest of 9 children of Joseph Bernard and Mary (Bloechel) Keinz.

After entering the service and completing his initial training, George was sent to England and assigned to A Company 116th Infantry.  He trained with that unit for the amphibious assault that would take place on the Normandy beach code-name "Omaha".  PFC Keinz was killed in action in that effort on 6 Jun 1944.

PFC Keinz is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
