PVT Milton Vincent Wagner was born in Brooklyn, New York on 19 Oct 1915. He was the youngest of the 3 children born to William and Minnie E. Wagner. His father was a postal letter carrier reporting a 1939 income of $2100 and the family lived at 6912 68th Place in Flushing, New York. They owned this home which was valued at $4700 in 1940. Milton was able to complete high school and then began working as a machine operator at Paramount Dictating Machine Company in Manhattan.
Milton was drafted in February 1943. After completing his basic military training he was sent to England and assigned to A Company 116th Infantry. He training with the unit as it prepared for the then impending amphibious assault as part of the liberation of occupied France. PVT Wagner was killed in action while taking part in that effort on 6 Jun 1944.
PVT Wagner rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery.
