PVT William Bernice Clark

PVT WIlliam Bernice Clark, b. 24 Jan 1924 - d.. 6 Jun 1944. Son of William Clarence and Vadie Priscilla (Smothers) Clark of Buena Vista, TN. He was apparently an only child. Bernice (as he was apparently called by the family) enlisted in June 1943 and was ultimately assigned to H Company 116th Infantry. He is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery. In 2007 his dog tags were reportedly found on the beach and returned to the family.
