PFC Andrew Denner Bean

PFC Andrew Denner Bean was born 1 Dec 1919 in Worcester, Pennsylvania to Moses Keyser and Eva Kline (Denner) Bean.  The family farmed in Montgomery County. 

Andrew was drafted in June 1942.  He was sent to England and assigned to L Company 116th Infantry.  He was shot through the body and killed in action when the unit participated in the D-Day assault on "fortress Europe".

Brother Paul Denner Bean served in the US Navy aboard LST 264 which participated in the Normandy landings moving equipment to Juno Beach. 

PFC Bean is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery
