PFC Joseph Henry F Aubin

PFC Henry F Aubin was born Joseph Henry J Aubin on 14 Dec 1913 (the date on his headstone is incorrect despite the date being correct on the form requesting the headstone).  His parents were Adelard Denis and Edna Grace (Boule) Aubin of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.  His mother died in 1928 and his father remarried several years later. His father was a cutter in a file factory and in 1939 made $1700 (pretty darn good for the time).  In 1940 Henry was working on a WPA sewer project and had made $650 in 1939.

In Feb 1942 Henry was drafted.  PFC Aubin was assigned to G Company 116th Infantry on D-Day and killed in action on 6 Jun 1944.

PFC Aubin is now buried in the Long Island National Cemetery.
