PFC John C. Dylik

PFC John C. Dylik was born in Utica, New York on 24 Jun 1920 to Carl Joseph and Nellie (Ryznar).  Both his parents were Polish immigrants. Carl was a machinist. In 1940, John was working as a punch press operator and he reported $500 in income for 1939. 

John was drafted in May 1942. John was assigned to D Company 116th Infantry and was with that unit when he was killed in action on D-Day, 6 Jun 1944. 

PFC Dylik was returned to the U.S. in 1948 and is buried in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville, New York.
