PVT Douglas T. Harris

PVT Douglas T. Harris was born 10 Jan 1925 in Brodhead, Kentucky to Arthur David and Susie Emeline (Cash) Harris.  His father worked in a lumber mill and farmed.  The family of 7 had a 1939 reported income of $60.

After Douglas entered the service, probably in 1943, he was sent to England and assigned to A Company 116th Infantry from the replacement depot on 13 Jun 1944.  PVT Harris was killed in action 4 days later, on 17 Jun 1944.

PVT Harris is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
