Willard was drafted in February 1942. On 29 Aug 1942 he married Barbara Elizabeth Doliber. After completing his training he was sent overseas and was assigned to Headquarters 2nd Battalion 116th Infantry. He was with that unit on 6 Jun 1944 when he was killed in action.
PFC Fader is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
Willard and Barbara had no children and she remarried after the war.

PFC Willard Webster Fader
PFC Willard Webster Fader was born 25 Apr 1920 to Chester and Natina I (Glass) Fader of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Chester worked as a public school janitor.
Willard graduated from Marblehead High School and went to work for a Sylvania Corporation manufacturing facility in Danvers, Massachusetts.
