PFC James F. Odum was born in July 1892 in Washington County, Virginia to Lafayette and Mary Alice (McGuire). Both James and his father worked in a cotton mill. PFC Odum was a member of C Company 116th Infantry and died 11 Oct 1918. PFC Odum is buried in
Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville, Virginia.
