PVT Thomas Arlie Brown

PVT Thomas Arlie Brown was born 14 Dec 1894 in Rochester, Kentucky the oldest of 4 children born to Arthur Delay and Elvin Louella (Russ) Brown. The family was living at 603 3rd Street in Evansville, Indiana for a time.

It was from that address that Thomas entered the Army, likely drafted, in May 1918.  Sent to Camp McClellan and assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company 116th Infantry, Thomas also trained in Anniston, Alabama.  PVT Brown boarded the USS Finland and sailed for France with his unit in June 1918.  He was killed in action on 9 Oct 1918.

PVT Brown was repatriated in 1921 and re-interred in Oakhill Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.
