PFC Charles Jazwienski was born in 1925 in Locust Valley, New York to Marion and Winfred (Smakowska) Jazwienski. His father worked for the Pratt Estate in Glenn Cove, New York.
Charles was drafted in May 1943, he was working in construction at the time. After basic training he was sent to Europe and on 17 Jul 1944 was transferred from the replacement depot to C Company 116th Infantry. PFC Jazwienski was killed in action on 1 Sep 1944.
PFC Jazwienski is buried in the Brittany American Cemetery.
