PFC Ludger J. Boucher was born in 1912 in Quebec Province, Canada to Michel J. and Emilie (Laramie) Boucher. The family moved to the U.S. in 1913. Michel was a carpenter, he died in 1938.
When Ludger was drafted in February 1942 he was apparently working as a lens grinder/polisher. He was sent overseas and assigned to E Company 116th Infantry prior to 6 Jun 1944 and participated in the D-Day amphibious assault on the coast of Normandy. PFC Boucher was killed in action on 12 Jun 1944.
PFC Boucher is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
