PVT Alton A. Inman

PVT Alton A. Inman was born 21 Jul 1923 in Frankfort, New York the only son of Wallace J. and Ella Janet (Dausman) Inman.  His father worked as a carpenter.

Alton was drafted in June 1943 immediately after his high school graduation.  After his training he was sent to England and assigned to C Company 116th Infantry.  He trained with that unit and landed with that unit on Omaha Beach on 6 Jun 1944.  PVT Inman was killed in action 10 days later, on 16 Jun 1944.

PVT Inman is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
