PFC William V Cooper

PFC William V Cooper was born in Ohio in 1914, 4th child of Joseph and Theresa (Kast) Cooper.  His parents were both Italian immigrants.  Married to Emma Louise Nerone whose parents were also Italian immigrants.  Drafted in Akron in August 1943.  Assigned to B Company 116th Infantry prior to D-Day.  Killed in action 17 Jun 1944.  Buried in Normandy American Cemetery.

After the war Emma re-married and had 2 sons.
