PFC Luther Patton Byars

PFC Luther Patton Byars was born 25 Dec 1923 in Marion, South Carolina to Luther Parris and Lurline Byars.  PFC Byars is another alumnus of Clemson University.  He enlisted in April 1943 and was assigned to I Company 116th Infantry.  He was killed in action on 8 Jun 1944.  His body was returned in 1948 and he now rests forever in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, South Carolina.
