PVT Paul Klipa

PVT Paul Klipa was born 4 Nov 1915 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania the youngest of 4 children of Bozo and Vasilya Klipa. Both of his parents were born in what is now Croatia.  His father was a teamster who died of spinal meningitis in 1929.

Paul entered the service in September 1943.  After his training he was sent to Europe in March 1944.  Just before he left he married Ruth Irene Davidson, a divorcee with 2 children.  In May of 1944, a daughter was born to the couple.  Paul was transferred from the replacement depot to A Company 116th Infantry on 13 Jun 1944.  PVT Paul Klipa was killed in action the next day, 14 Jun 1944. 

PVT Klipa was repatriated in 1948 and is buried in Youngwood Cemetery in Youngwood, Pennsylvania.
