PVT Roger Gédéon Brulotte

PVT Roger Gédéon Brulotte was born 31 Jan 1924 in Bienville, Québec to Joseph Isadore Pierre and Alice Marie (Johnson) Brulotte.  The family brought Roger to the U.S. in September 1925 after which they settled in Sanford, Maine where Isadore was a barber.  Unfortunately, Roger's father died in 1936.

Roger was drafted in May 1943.  After training in Tennessee and South Carolina he was assigned to B Company 116th Infantry and was with that unit for the amphibious assault on 6 Jun 1944 when he was killed in action.

PVT Brulotte is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery and has a cenotaph in Saint Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.

Roger's mother lived to be 99 years old.
