CPL Frank Fritz Jr

CPL Frank Fritz Jr was born 14 Dec 1916 in Crown Point, Indiana to Frank Ferdinand and Anna (Verbus) Fritz.  His father worked in a steel mill. 

Frank was drafted in October 1941.  He soon found himself assigned to E Company 116th Infantry and was with that unit when it trained for and then embarked for the amphibious invasion of France.  He was killed in action on 6 Jun 1944. 

CPL Fritz is buried in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana.
