PFC Anthony Krawfsky was born in 1919 in Hartford County, Connecticut to Joseph and Margaret (Baltulonis) Krawfsky. His father farmed.  In 1940, Anthony was working in a paper mill and reported a 1939 income of $1200.

Anthony was drafted in December 1942.  Anthony was sent to England after his initial training and assigned to F Company 116th Infantry.  He trained with that unit for the great invasion of Hitler's "fortress Europe".  He did indeed embark for that amphibious assault and was killed in action on that day, 6 Jun 1944.

PFC Krawfsky rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery.
