PVT Edward G Pooler

PVT Edward G Pooler was born in 1915 in Maine.  He married Gloria (Lessard) probably about 1935.  They had one son before 1940 and both worked in a wool mill.  Edward was drafted in February 1943.  Assigned to G Company 116th Infantry he participated in the D-Day landings and was wounded.  He died of wounds the next day, 7 Jun 1944, in France.

His body was repatriated and rests forever in Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville, Maine.

Gloria remarried in 1946.
