PVT Frank J. Ditoma

PVT Frank J. Ditoma was born in 17 Sep 1922 in Canastota, New York to Paul and Beatrice (DiGeorge) Ditoma. His father farmed and died in  1933.  The family continued to farm thereafter. Frank was married sometime between April 1940 and March 1943.  

Frank was drafted in March 1943.  Sent overseas he was assigned to B Company 116th Infantry and trained for the amphibious assault that was to take place on 6 Jun 1944 at Omaha beach.  He was killed in action in that assault. 

PVT Ditoma is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery.
