PVT William John Maffe

PVT William John Maffe (b. 1923 - d. 7 Jun 1944) son of Joseph and Rose Maffe of Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, he enlisted 17 May 1943. He was assigned to B Company 116th Infantry and is memorialized at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Departement du Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France. He was listed as "unrecoverable"/MIA but the date of loss is erroneously given as 7 Jun 1945. He had 4 sisters and 1 brother.
