CPL William Stanley Williams Jr was born 2 Jun 1924 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. He was the first of the 6 children of William Stanley and Mattie Irene (Bunce) Williams. The 4th child was born prematurely and died when he was just 1-day old in 1927, the 5th child died when she was just 1-day old in 1931, the 6th would be just 1-month old when she died in 1941.
