PVT Clifton Arnold Robertson

PVT Clifton Arnold Robertson was born 27 Sep 1915 in Middle River, Maryland. He was the 2nd of the 6 children born to William Earl and Elsie Elizabeth (Sterling) Robertson. His father worked as a carpenter and in 1940 was working as a janitor in an air craft factory. Although Clifton had left home by 1940, he was working for Glenn L. Martin in the airplane factory as a welder. 

Clifton was drafted in April 1944. After his basic military training he was sent to the European theater and was transferred from the replacement depot to B Company 116th Infantry on 25 Oct 1944. PVT Robertson was part of an attack on Setterich from Baesweiler on the morning of 18 Nov 1944 when he was killed in action.

PVT Robertson was repatriated and re-interred in the Baltimore National Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.
