PVT Frank Bernett Miller

PVT Frank Bernett Miller was born 6 Aug 1924 in Glenwillard, Pennsylvania. He was the first born of 2 children born to Frank Philip and Else Bertha Josephine (Konter) Miller. His father worked odd jobs before finding work as a repairman at a steel foundry. In 1940 his father owned the home on Route 51 in Cresecent Township which was valued at $2500 and reported a 1939 income of $1830. Frank would graduate from Moon Township High School.

Frank was drafted in March 1943. After training he was sent to England and assigned to A Company 116th Infantry where he prepared with the unit for the amphibious attack on the beaches of occupied France. PVT Miller was killed in action in that effort on 6 Jun 1944.

PVT Miller was repatriated and re-interred in the Sylvania Hills Cemetery now Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, Pennsylvania.
