PVT Miguel Ramon was born in 1923 in Orange Grove, Texas. He was the 2nd of the 6 children born to Vidal and Manuel (Diaz) Ramon. His father worked odd jobs and as a farm hand reporting only $150 income for 1939. The family lived in a home valued at $100. Miguel went to Ohio to look for work.

Miguel was drafted in July 1943. After his basic military training he was sent to England and assigned to F Company 116th Infantry as a rifleman. He would have taken part in training in early 1944 for the amphibious landing that was planned as part of the invasion of occupied France. PVT Ramon was killed in action in that effort on 6 Jun 1944.

PVT Ramon rests forever in the Normandy American Cemetery.
