2LT Joseph J. Ehrlich

2LT Joseph J. Ehrlich was born in 1914 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Bernard and Elsie (Golden) Ehrlich.  His father was a jewelry salesman. About 1938 he married Lillie Laura Spinner.  

Joseph was drafted in Mar 1943.  With a college degree and some post-grad work completed he was sent to OCS and was soon an officer.  On 25 Oct 1944 he was transferred from the replacement depot to B Company 116th Infantry as a platoon leader.  2LT Ehrlich was killed in action on 17 Nov 1944 (the morning report shows 18 Nov).

2LT Ehrlich is buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery.

Lillie did eventually remarry.
