After entering the army Roscoe was assigned to I Company 116th Infantry. He trained with the unit at Camp McClellan, Alabama. On 15 Jun 1918 he sailed for France with the unit aboard the USS Finland. PVT Pack was killed in action on 15 Oct 1918.
PVT Pack is not buried overseas so he was probably repatriated and is now buried somewhere in Tazewell County, Virginia.
