SSG Samuel Johnson Christley Jr

SSG Samuel Johnson Christley Jr, b. 28 Apr 1916 - d. 18 Nov 1944. Son of Samuel Johnson and Jessie Olive (Brant) Christley of Ellwood City, PA. "Sam" was married to Mildred Doris "Dolly" Main and they had one child, Joyce Ann. Entering service in November 1943, SSG Christley was assigned to G Company 116th Infantry at the time he was KIA. He rests in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City.
