PFC Frank Paul Minuto

PFC Frank Paul Minuto (Francesco Paolo Minuto) was born in Bristol, Rhode Island the 4th child and 2nd son to Paul (Paolo) Minuto and Louise (Luigia/Luisa) Del Vecchio Minuto. He grew up in Rhode Island and when the family moved to Naugatuck, New Haven County, Connecticut, that is where he enlisted January 16, 1943 in the U.S. ARMY at age 19.

Frank was a PFC (Private First Class) in the Medical Detachment and Headquarters Company 2nd Battalion, 116th Infantry, 29th Division and was KIA (Killed In Action) on
September 2, 1944 . He was buried in Saint James (Permanent Cemetery), Saint James, France in block G, row 3, grave 8 marked with a cross.

Frank was honored with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star posthumously.
