PFC Wesley C. Gordon was born in 1924 in Cumberland, Maryland to Marshall and Lucy Pleasant (Smith) Gordon. His father worked for the railroad in Maryland and on road construction in Ohio.
Wesley was drafted in March 1943. Sent to Europe, he was transferred from the replacement depot to E Company 116th Infantry on 9 Aug 1944. He was wounded on 30 Aug 1944 and evacuated to hospital where he died of his wounds on 2 Sep 1944.
PFC Gordon is buried in the Brittany American Cemetery.
