PVT Allen June Estep, b. 19 Aug 1925 - d. 16 Jul 1944. Son of Clifford Doralus and Anna June (Golladay) Estep of Shenandoah County, VA he married Betty Marie Laughman in 1943 and was drafted soon after. They had a son, Allen June Estep Jr in Apr 1944. Allen got to see his son before he shipped overseas. Ultimately assigned to I Company 116th Infantry PVT Estep now rests in
Mount Rose Cemetery in York, PA. His mother, wife and son survived him.
